Poul Anderson fue un reconocido autor estadounidense, famoso por sus contribuciones a la ciencia ficción, la fantasía y la ficción histórica. Nació en 1926 y se crio en una familia bilingüe de habla danesa y estadounidense, lo que le permitió desde temprana edad conocer diversas culturas y tradiciones.
