Josi S. Kilpack es una reconocida autora estadounidense, conocida principalmente por sus novelas de ficción LDS, misterio cosy y romance. Nació y se crio en Utah, donde actualmente reside con su esposo e hijos en Willard. Kilpack desarrolló un amor por la lectura a una edad temprana, gracias a su madre que la animó a leer La bruja de Blackbird Pond de Elizabeth George Speare. Desde entonces, Kilpack quedó enganchada y ha escrito más de treinta novelas, un libro de cocina y varias novellas.
La carrera de escritora de Kilpack comenzó en 1998 cuando escribió su primer libro mientras estaba en reposo en cama con su tercer hijo. Desde entonces, se ha convertido en ganadora del Whitney Award en cuatro ocasiones, incluyendo por Mejor Novela en 2015 y 2019, y ha sido ganadora del Utah Best of State for Fiction. Además de escribir bajo su nombre real, Kilpack también escribe ficción contemporánea bajo el seudónimo Jessica Pack.
La serie más popular de Kilpack es la serie Culinary Mysteries, que presenta a la detective aficionada Sadie Hoffmiller.
