Carrie Vaughn es una reconocida autora estadounidense, famosa por sus novelas de urban fantasy y romance paranormal. Es la creadora de la popular serie Kitty Norville. Vaughn comenzó su carrera como escritora produciendo relatos cortos de ciencia ficción y fantasía. Vaughn nació el 28 de enero de 1973, en Sacramento, California, y se crió en una familia militar. Su padre formó parte de la tripulación de B-52 durante la Guerra de Vietnam.
